1. Contains all 13 essential nutrients.
2. Rich in 4%, non-staining, "chelated" iron.
3. Slow release for uniform, consistent results.
The industry's favorite organic nitrogen fertilizer, Milorganite, helps everything from fairways to greens look their best.
Proven and Sustainable.
Milorganite is one of the nation's oldest recycled product, receiving rave reviews from the professional turf industry for over 85 years. Milorganite is the fertilizer that superintendents trust for its consistent granular size and outstanding results.
No matter how salt sensitive your turf is, you can put good faith in Milorganite. Since it contains virtually no chemical salts, there’s no need to worry about burning, even during drought conditions.

Rich in 4%, Non-Staining, "Chelated" Iron.
Like nitrogen, iron comes in many forms, and not all of them are created equal. Iron salts are the most common source of iron because they are the least expensive. However, when iron salts break down in the soil, chemical reactions turn the iron into various insoluble compounds that are unavailable to plants. Synthetic iron chelates were developed to make iron more accessible to plants over time. It would require frequent applications of synthetic iron chelates to produce the results of one application of Milorganite.
The iron in Milorganite is organically complex, so it performs like a chelated iron. As microorganisms in the soil use Milorganite as a food source, all the nutrients, including iron, are released and made available to plants over time. Milorganite iron provides the best of both worlds; it performs like expensive chelated irons, but it’s priced like inexpensive iron salts.
Milorganite is guaranteed to contain a minimum of 4% iron-almost as much iron as nitrogen. Which means every time you apply one pound of Milorganite's slow release nitrogen, you are also applying two-thirds of a pound of slow release, organically complex iron.
Slow Release Formula for Uniform Growth.
Milorganite‘s slow release formula provides nitrogen over an 8-10 week period, minimizing the problems of excessive growth.
Ideal for Sandy Soils.
Sandy soils aren’t exactly known for being rich in organic matter or for holding onto nutrients. By using Milorganite, which contains 75% organic matter by weight and releases its nutrients slowly, you give sandy soils a better chance of retaining those nutrients more effectively. And, in the process help promote beneficial microbial activity.
Resistant to Leaching and Run Off.
A University of Wisconsin-Madison study concludes that there is less nitrogen and phosphorus in the runoff water from Kentucky bluegrass fertilized with Milorganite than from the same turf that received no fertilizer at all. Using Milorganite not only minimizes the potential for leaching or runoff, it actually reduces these environmental concerns.
Contains 13 Essential Plant Nutrients.
Milorganite is full of the essential micronutrients plants need for vigorous growth and vibrant color.
